DESCRIPTION
On this music and cultural safari we will head to pristine Madikwe Game Reserve in the North-West province of South Africa . Madikwe is one of the largest game reserves in South Africa, covering some 80,000 hectares (197 000 acres). It is one of South Africa’s prime safari destinations as the rich diversity of vegetation ensures a wide range of game viewing opportunities for visitors. Due to the reserve’s location situated on the border with Botswana close to the Kalahari Desert and it’s wide open planes it allows for unparallel wildlife viewing opportunities. Madikwe is home to 66 mammal species including Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard and the elusive and endangered Wild dog, as well as over 300 bird species.
For our Ned Luberecki Banjo Safari we will head to the private Madikwe Game Reserve where we will spend six nights at the tranquil Tau Game Lodge in handpicked luxury accommodations which overlooks an active watering for our music and nature immersion experience.
Itinerary
Day 1: Enjoy a South African culture day. Live music and dancing performances.
Day 2: Head out to the Tau Game Lodge in the Madikwe Game Reserve. Check in. Afternoon safari drive. Dinner.
Day 3-6: Morning safari drive. Breakfast. Workshop session 1.Lunch. Workshop session 2. Afternoon safari drive. Dinner. Jam. Repeat.
Day 7: Breakfast, check out and departure at 11:00 am.

TAU GAME LODGE: LUXURY SAFARI ACCOMMODATION
In the open plains of a pristine wildlife conservancy, amongst a tremendous diversity of fauna and flora and South African wildlife, you’ll encounter a unique and wondrous place – the TAU Game Lodge. From the moment you arrive you will be delighted by the warm hospitality and personal care as you take in the views of the watering hole which attracts a variety of wildlife throughout the day. Be amazed with the accommodation as you step inside one of our luxury Chalet’s, each boasting a viewing deck overlooking the active watering whole. Here, the untamed bush surrounds you as you are indulged with all the comforts of modern living.
Madikwe Game Reserve is the superb open-vehicle safari destination. This malaria-free game reserve is home to black and white rhino, buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah and the very rarely spotted – African wild dog.

LUXURY SAFARI CHALETS:
The décor and furnishings of Tau Game Lodge are Africa-inspired and the rooms are equipped with both air-conditioning and ceiling fans.
The luxury thatched chalets are spread out in U-formation on either side of the lodge, offering excellent views of animals approaching the water from the opposite bank.
The lodge has a 5 star rating and chalets are equipped with both air-conditioning and ceiling fans, mini-bars, tea and coffee facilities. Each chalet has its own wooden deck, which allows one to experience the bush in privacy.
