HIPPO HOLLOW & BUFFALO ROCK
HIPPO HOLLOW
Hippo Hollow Country Estate is a comfortable, family-friendly hotel situated on the banks of the Sabie River near Hazyview in South Africa. Situated just outside of Hazyview, between the Drakensberg Mountains to the west and the low-lying bushveld of the Greater Kruger Area to the east, Hippo Hollow is a wonderful base from which to explore the Mpumalanga Lowveld
BUFFALO ROCK
Buffalo Rock Safari Camp is perfectly located in a private and secluded part of the Nkambeni Private Concession, within the borders of the world-renowned Kruger National Park. Offering visitors the opportunity to commune with nature in a pristine and unspoilt wildlife-rich wilderness, Buffalo Rock Safari Camp is completely unfenced and regularly welcomes roaming wildlife, including members of the Big Five. Although the Camp is called Buffalo Rock, Lion and Leopard are regularly spotted sunning themselves on the rocky outcrop close to the camp.

BUFFALO ROCK TENTED ROOMS
Bedtime could be your favorite time of the day at Buffalo Rocks Camp as you drift off to sleep with just a thin layer of canvas between you and the wonderful sounds of the African bushveld. The mornings are equally thrilling as you awaken to the sound of dawn chorus of birds, welcoming you to another beautiful sunrise and another perfect day in Africa.
The camp has just 12 privately-situated tented suites, each of which has an outdoor seating area overlooking the wilderness and the rocky outcrop for which the camp is named. Each of the permanent “tents” has been constructed on a solid wooden deck and has its own en-suite shower room with toilet and basin. Your canvas “walls” feature large picture windows which allow in plenty of light and offer views of the bush.
Each tent has very comfortable extra-length twin beds covered by beautifully draped mosquito nets and quality linen and duvets, offering a true “out of Africa” ambiance. Indoor/outdoor bathrooms allow you the rare privilege of taking a private shower with a view out over the wilderness.
Each room has a charging station for your cell-phone or tablet, a coffee-making station and a fan.
