Umoya has two legs: Music safari workshops, and Music and Cultural safaris.

With the Music safari workshop leg, we host the most inspiring musical workshops with some of the worlds top musicians as our instructors. Partake in intimate workshop sessions , wildlife, culture and nature immersions and bespoke concerts with your favorite artist in the African bush.

With the Music and Cultural safari leg, we host music and cultural safari’s with some of South Africa’s top traditional musicians. Visit renown South African musicians in the townships and villages where they stay. Learn about African culture, Spirituality and philosophy. Enjoy South African food and drink. This is a South African music and cultural deep dive!

By offering carefully curated tours, this team of South African Tour operators, musicians and artists draw on their extensive local knowledge and years of experience in the South African music and travel industry to offer bespoke travel experiences that gifts inspiration, connection and rejuvenation.

At Umoya it is our hearts intent to promote and uplift South African music and culture and we pride ourselves on being fortunate enough to have a close knit network of truly gifted musicians, artists and craftsmen whom we are lucky to call our friends and colleagues.

We are a bunch of professionals in the South African music and travel industry who are passionate about preserving the sounds of traditional South African music and culture and in conserving and protecting South African wildlife and nature. We believe that in order for a nation to prosper, we have to serve and uplift our fellows first. We believe in the Spirit of Ubuntu as a way of life.

In the future we hope to expand our vision to uplift impoverished communities by way of educational music and artistic outreach programs in order to do our part in creating job opportunities in South Africa for those who are less fortunate.
